Safeguarding

St Peter’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

We make every effort to provide an environment in which children and adults feel safe, secure, valued and respected, and feel confident to talk if they are worried, believing they will be effectively listened to. We maintain an attitude of ‘it could happen here’. All staff, governors and visitors have a role in the prevention of harm and abuse. We also actively support the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalisation and extremism.

We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, which includes our Child Protection Policy, which can be viewed in our Policies section.

If you have concerns about the safety and wellbeing of a child, please call the school on 01483 534654 and ask to be put through to the safeguarding lead (DSL) or a member of the safeguarding team.  If there is an emergency situation where a child is at risk of harm, please call 999.
