Congratulations to our Young Enterprise Sixth Formers Team who competed in the Dragons’ Den on 16th November 2016 at the Guildhall in Guildford.
The team (Lucy, Ava, Daniel and Will) was victorious winning first prize of £100 for their Little Tin Can Company (specialising in floral displays and table decorations).
Naturally we are very proud of their achievement, especially as St Peter’s was the only state school in the competition, beating 14 other private schools.
This was the message to St Peter’s Sixth Form students from Edward Bonham Carter, Vice Chairman of Jupiter Investments. Your degree does not have to be in Maths or Economics (though this can be helpful) to work in the financial sector, and just as important, is the quality and excellence of your thinking and presentation skills.
Congratulations to the Year 11 Football Team who travelled to South Croydon to play Whitgift last night. They came away with an excellent 4-1 victory courtesy of goals from Baffour, Felix and Mackie (2). They now advance through to the next round of the County cup!
Thank you to all our parents who attended the E-Safety Parents' Evening on the 3rd October 2016.
Dr Anthony Towey from St Mary’s University gave our annual Theology Lecture on the Bible as a source of authority. We were particularly pleased that Dr Towey agreed to give the lecture as he was directly involved in the recent changes to the A Level specifications. Over 100 people attended, a mixture of A Level Religious Studies students from St Peter’s as well as from other local schools, parents and staff.
Wednesday 16th November from 7pm to 9pm - no need to book - everyone is welcome
Congratulations to the Year 10 Netball team who won all their games and played with such determination and spirit throughout. They are now through to the Surrey Schools Finals.
This is a message for all ex-Bushy Hill students from Louisa Dormer, Headteacher
The St Peter's Business Department held a 'dragons den' yesterday to give Year 12 students the opportunity to pitch the business plans they have been developing since June.
