Curriculum - Years 10 and 11 (Key Stage 4)

Students follow a National Curriculum programme, most subjects leading to certification at GCSE. All students follow courses in the following:

English, Citizenship, Mathematics, Physical Education, Religious Education, Science (with the more able students doing three separate Sciences).

Students then select three subjects which can be chosen from the following: Art, Business Studies, Computing, IT, Drama, Geography, Health and Social Care, History, Modern Languages (currently French and Spanish), Music, Physical Education, Textiles, Graphics, Food Technology and Resistant Materials.

We encourage most students to study a language to GCSE level. Please note – option subjects are revised annually and subject to change.

If you would like additional information on the curriculum, please contact the Head of Department who will be happy to help. The Head of Department can be found in the Courses and Subject pages on the left-hand side of this page.
