St Peter’s celebrate outstanding GCSE results

St Peter’s have celebrated outstanding GCSE results today with students who are delighted with their achievements and affirmation of their hard work over the last three years.

Similar to the A Level results, the school has bucked the national trend and are stronger than summer 2021, when centre assessed grades were adopted. 95% of students gained 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above and 82% gained 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above. 58% of all entries are grade 9-7.

We would like to pay tribute to all of our staff who supported the students throughout the last five years, as well as the parents who have shared the anxiety and pressure whilst remaining calm. However, special note must be given to the students; their fabulous talents and sheer hard work have enabled them to be awarded the grades they deserve.

The progress made across the year group has been excellent and there were many standout results in terms of both high attainment and significant progress made by all ability ranges.  Students who achieved 10 or more grade 8 or 9s include Ryan A, Louis B, Charlotte C, Trinity C, Gabriella D, Elena E, Martha F, Arthur F, Gabrielle G, Lisa H, Phoebe H, Leonorah I, Katy S and Riccia M.

Headteacher, Toby Miller said “I am immensely proud of every single student who embraced continual change throughout their GCSE years and achieved their hard-earned grades.  They engaged well with a rigorous process post pandemic and have shown resilience and perseverance throughout the most challenging of times in education. We wish them all the very best for their future.”

In closing, we would like to congratulate all our Year 11 students and it will be a delight to welcome many of them back into St Peter’s Sixth Form in September and see them start the next stage of their journey.
